Studio A Productions was founded by Alex Schuman, a host, producer, and journalist. He wrote and produced two of 2024’s top true crime podcasts. Blood is Thicker was #1 on Apple Podcasts across all podcasts in the Spring of 2024, and Candyman: The True Story Behind the Bathroom Mirror Murder was included in Spotify’s Best of 2024. He’s also the host of true crime series Fake Priest and Puppy Kingpin for Sony Music Entertainment. Prior to podcasting and documentary work, Schuman was a television reporter for nearly a decade.

The Murder of Elfy Millstone is the first fiction podcast to be released by Schuman and his production company Studio A.​
